Senior Accountant

About the Role

Take your management and leadership skills to the next level.  Inspire others to grow and develop.  Be rewarded for high quality work and an absolute focus on caring for your clients.

You will work within a team, providing tax and business advisory services. The role offers considerable variety and direct client contact. 

You may have already been reviewing work for other accountants or be ready to step up into a supervisory or management role. What matters most to us is your level of professionalism, commitment to excellence and positive contribution to team culture. 

EA to the General Manager

About the Role

This role requires a strong skillset in systems improvements, procedural documentation and problem solving. You will be responsible for investigating, reporting on and resolving a range of software issues. We have an IT support team in Brisbane and an experienced local technician who assists with additional hardware and software issues. You will be liaising with accounting software providers and helping build and test automations. A full position description will be provided on request.

You will report directly to the General Manager and business owners. It is important that you are someone who can juggle competing priorities and consistently communicate respectfully with the rest of the team, even when under pressure. This role offers an exciting career for the right person, with potential for growth. 

Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, particularly if you have experience in XERO, FYI and FuseDocs. However, we are also willing to train the right person if they have a fantastic attitude and a love for problem solving at a high level. To be successful in this role you will need a high level of professionalism and be 100% confident with adapting and using a wide range of software, as well as the ability to train others.

Intermediate Accountant

About the Role

Graduate Accountant

About the Role

This role will give you the opportunity to complete your CPA/CA qualification in a supportive environment. You will be given opportunities to shine and be recognised for your contribution. All accountants, including cadets and graduate accountants, are given regular opportunities to interact with clients and begin to learn business advisory skills. You will receive both soft skill training and technical training on a regular basis.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a drive to learn, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. It is also important that you 'live and breathe' Flor-Hanly's values.

We will provide training and coaching to ensure your ongoing success in the role. Career progression is supported if you have a strong aptitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Cadet Accountant - for 2023 

About the Role

We are accepting applications now for our 2023 cadetship program. Cadets work 3 days a week whilst completing their degree. There is a substantial amount of flexibility provided to enable you to be successful in your studies. At present, we employ 2 cadets a year. As cadets progress, they will be given the responsibility to help train, support and encourage the next year's cadets, to help develop your own mentoring and management skills over time. 

Cadets are provided with a qualified accountant as their buddy for daily work. Our systemised training program and daily team meetings all help with your professional development. Our cadets also receive the enthusiastic support of the entire Flor-Hanly team. As a Flor-Hanly cadet, you can be confident you will graduate with an exceptionally strong skillset.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate attention to detail, willingness to learn from others and a focus on supporting the team.
